Good evening friends!
Long time no post. How’ve you been?
How’s the end of the month looking?
Here’s just a reminder that if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m always a mail away.
Wednesday, the 29th of September, 2021
On the 21st of September, 2021, a good sister, Chidinma Maduabueke, posted a Word that I felt like I really needed that morning.
She said that God can’t make choices for you, but He’ll guide you to make the right choices. She went on to quote Psalms 32:8 -
The LORD says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you’ (NLT).
This Word was so personal to me; and I’m sure it is for many others. If you lean completely on God, you’ll find yourself wanting Him to tell you exactly what decision to make. You want to do only what He says, and that’s wonderful, but God gives us the ability to make choices—good choices, because we’re His righteous ones. While we’re running about, He subtly directs us. He guides us, even without our knowing it. You just find yourself going His way. Another good sister of mine would always say, “You’re always in His will”.
Those who put their trust in the Lord will never be disappointed.
- Isaiah 49:23
The Lord directs the steps of the godly, for His intentions towards you are good. The Lord thinks good thoughts of His children. You may forget, or not even know that the minute details of your life matter to Him.
Psalm 37:23 (NLT) says that the Lord delights in EVERY detail of a godly person’s life. Imagine God waiting for you to let Him in on every detail of your life—even those ones you think are unimportant for His ears. He wants to know about your day. He wants to know about your hectic work. He wants to take every burden and make you feel lighter.
So here’s a piece that’s been lurking around since June 2020 (these random thoughts always come in handy). I wrote this piece, having made some observations on a road trip:
The traveler sojourns to the ends of the earth, there are trees so tall, they look like they’ll almost touch the sky; and there are trees so short, you’d almost call them a shrub.
Same goes for Greenland and another that looks almost inhabitable.
There’s clean clear rivers; and there’s downright polluted water.
The sunlight shone on some parts of the hills and on others, it was completely shot out.
So there’s the world, with good, bad, darkness, light, evergreen, faded.
We’ve all walked around the earth and experienced these sides;
‘Options’
‘Variety’... those are the words I thought of.
We get to choose, we always do.
I hope you pick the right side;
With path and colors that only reflect God.
Let God in on the darkest parts of your life. Let His light permeate through you. Allow Him to cause His light to shine on you.
You’ll never remain the same!
Goodbyes
Man’s feelings are always purest and most glowing in the hour of meeting and of farewell.
- Jean Paul Richter
Till next time,
Wednesday, God-willing.
Great piece✅
